If Life were fair, miracles would be rare,
The weak would perish, the strong would flourish,
At every given instant.

There would be no surprises,
no anomalies, no unconventional happenings.

Kambli would have been successful, Sachin a failure,
Hitler would have ruled all earth, with the Jews to lure.

Every mouse would be devoured by the cat,
every man would be devoured by fate,
talent and skill would find its way to the top,
hard work, ethic and discipline would be values lost.

Thank God it’s an unfair world, with each man at his own behest,
