Modern Dronas

The very essence of good work and good ideas come from criticism. Or at least, that’s what is apparent to the current advertising industry. Pearls of wisdom are being imbibed into young minds corroding those natural and artistic thoughts to create a cacophony of acceptable work according to general populous. And of course, you can’t be the nail that sticks out because if you do, you’ll get hammered.

The fear of sticking out in the vast plains of hammered nails is what scares the shit out of those brilliant advertising infants who, accidentally (debatable), create something so unique and ingenious, that it can eat up a senior creative person, who has been churning out his client’s wishes in the industry for many years.

Lest an award is acquired by this eager to learn creative person, there are two ways to look at such a prodigy. Either he is that one who’ll make it big in the industry in the years to come (mounting herculean pressure on his meager little shoulders) or that the award was a lucky hunch. Such insecurity in a new talent's ability worsens the echelon of work by epic proportions.

All I ask is fairness towards the work being created. If it’s good, it’s good. Keep those hypocritical tendencies aside and appreciate good work. Chances are that the young prodigy might just give you that insight from his own work which might rise like a phoenix in your head as the ‘Big Idea’.
