A Generation of Blue and White

Danny stared at the computer screen. Time stalled. At least in his tired eyes. All he could see was a page of blue and white. This page which contained life. There were lives of those he knew, those he didn’t, and those that he hoped to know. In that page, there lived a generation.
He waited. Waited for the blue world on the top corner to go red. Hell, he didn’t mind even ‘Farmville’ now. That moment, and its magic which would change the status from ‘boring’ to ‘bitchin’. But no. the world was getting bored without him. He knew they were bored. Although those late night selfies and insta posts could fool many.
Strangely, Dhaneshwar, did not feel threatened; sorry, Danny. He knew he would get that notification. Because tomorrow is another day. Because no matter how interesting your life is, it wouldn’t matter unless those who didn’t matter, knew about it. Probably, that WAS the only interesting part.
He switched the computer off. Walking towards his bed, his eyes surrendered to fatigue. He rested his head on the pillow and stared at the ceiling fan. Somehow, his protest wasn’t for a cause. And he knew that ‘mind’ and ‘body’ were arguing on the next course of action. Five seconds passed. He was still staring at the fan. Ten seconds passed. He picked up his phone. Still, nothing. Not a God damn fucking thing. Guess hitting the 1000 friend mark was useless. Meanwhile, ‘body’ won the argument. His eyes shut.
He woke up. Something was not right. FUCK. Monday.
